Meet Victor Sackett
VICTOR SACKETT MA, PT, CSCS
Physical Therapist
Performance Physical Therapy was started in 2005 to bridge the gap between care through a home care agency and care in the outpatient office. Typically, following discharge from a hospital or rehabilitation center, the patient is referred to an agency that provides a multitude of services including nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy and home health aide assistance. When the Home Health Agency discontinues the case, the patient often requires continued physical therapy. This presents many individuals with transportation worries and the risk of falls if their mobility and function is still limited.
Victor received his B.A. in Biology from Hofstra University. He then attended Touro College of Health Sciences and graduated with a combined degree B.S. in Health Science and M.A. in Physical Therapy. He has worked in the Manhasset/ Great Neck community since 1995 and has vast experience with outpatient care of post-surgical orthopedic conditions such as Total joint replacements, Fractures, Tendon repairs, Ligament reconstruction and amputation. He has taken advanced training for manual therapy techniques to treat vertebral and lumbo-pelvic pain, soft tissue injuries and chronic pain. Victor has proudly worked in the NYS Veteran’s home in St. Albans where he provided physical therapy for veterans that suffered the effects of strokes, amputations, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and other neurological and geriatric conditions that cause balance, gait and safety deficits. His goal is to help seniors restore their strength, balance, and function so they can remain living in their own homes for as long as possible.
How We Can Help You!
One On One Care
Individual attention guarantees the best possible outcome. Exercises are done in correct form and to the maximum potential of each patient. Each session also allows for the highest quality of care because there is one on one instruction when performing exercise routines.
Our Experience
Since 2005 we have been working with patients in the home environment. But it is the multi-disciplinary work experience in hospital and out-patient settings that help to treat patients with different conditions at all levels of function.
Caring, Patient, Dedicated.
We are Caring – We truly want the best recovery and the highest quality of life for our patients. We are Patient – We understand each patient is unique and may require more time and more instruction to understand the exercises and perform them correctly. We are dedicated – We are results driven. Our goal is to help you heal and return back to your function before your injury or illness.
